Angela, Patient Concierge

Originally from Arkansas, Angela moved to Knoxville to earn her Associates degree from Crown College in Powell, Tennessee. Angela joined the My Family Team in August 2009. She and her husband have three children. Her hobbies include photography, reading, chai tea, and summertime.

 

Brenda, Dental Assistant

Brenda has been a life-long resident of East Tennessee. She became a Registered Dental Assistant in 2000, and is certified in coronal polishing and nitrous oxide monitoring. She joined the Team at My Family Dentistry in 2007. In her free time, she enjoys reading, movies, and camping with her family.

 

Darci, Business Concierge

Darci Simmers has been the Office Manager for My Family Dentistry since the practice opened in 2004. Originally from Massachusetts, she attended and graduated from Crown College in Powell, TN and has 13 years of experience with office management. Darci oversees Dr. Mullins' schedule and coordinates financial arrangements and insurance processing for patients.

 

Julie, Dental Hygienist

A native East Tennessean, Julie has been with the My Family Dentistry Team for four years. She has an Associates and Bachelor's degree from East Tennessee State University, and is a Registered Dental Hygienist with 13 years of experience. While working with Dr. Mullins, Julie has finished her Bachelor's degree, and has attained certification in delivering nitrous oxide and local anesthesia. Julie has been married for 12 years and has 2 children.

 

Laura, Dental Hygienist

Laura is from a small town in West Virginia, and worked as a dental assistant while in high school. After graduation, Laura attended West Virginia University where she received a Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene in 2003. Laura and her husband Wes moved to Tennessee in 2003 and have 2 children. She now works part time at My Family Dentistry and home schools her older daughter part time. Laura's favorite pastime is baking and riding horses in the mountains.

 

Megan, Dental Assistant

Megan, who grew up in East Tennessee, is a Registered Dental Assistant. She began her dental career in 2007, and joined the My Family Dentistry Team in August 2008. She enjoys being part of a friendly, fun, family-oriented environment which proves the excellent dental care that all patients deserve. After work, she enjoys reading and taking photos of her young son Noah.

 

Margaret, Dental Hygienist

Margaret, originally from Clarksville, Tennessee, completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene at UT Health Science Center in Memphis. She moved to Knoxville in August of 2010. She is excited to contribute to the hygiene needs of patients at My Family Dentistry, as well as dedicating time to various nonprofit dental clinics within the community. Her hobbies include cycling, reading, and spending time with the Lord, friends, and family.
